Acceptance‘ follows „Agitation“. As an intense year comes to a close and we await rebirth, Oliver Koletzki & Niko Schwind return to the Tribe with two deep and mesmerizing original tracks that feel like the first footsteps on a path to catharsis during unsettling times. Sam Shure compliments the EP by way of a boisterous remix.
On „Acceptance“, Oliver and Niko invite us to an ancient, mythical rainforest, where exotic birdsong amongst the foliage verges on the threatening as rolling tribal drums and deep synth-swells create a tense atmosphere. Yet the pair illuminate the darkness midway: warm piano chords eventually wash over us, creating a sense of hope that is enhanced further by the next track, „Lights of Denebola“. Here, a xylophone dances erratically on top of a well-rounded beat, eventually exploding in a cascade of powerful synths as bright as the star Denebola itself. On his remix of „Lights of Denebola“, Sam Shure also plays with strong tensions, letting a stark synth line climax in a moment of pure euphoria. There’s light at the end of the tunnel.
